Mara was the first wildlife rehabilitation client of From The Ferns. Our team rescued her after recieving a call about her being stuck in a pool. She was extremely lethargic, and it was obvious she was suffering from chlorine poisoning. She was given fresh water and a safe, clean pond to hang out in while she recovered. Meet Gizmo: Field Mouse


Gizmo is an orphaned field mouse who was under our care for over two weeks. Given how young he was when rescued (his eyes hadn't even opened yet!), Gizmo's care was very hands- on. The team had to hand feed him using a syringe (as pictured) every two hours for days until his eyes opened. He progressed quickly, moving to solid foods soon after! Gizmo thrived under care and th
